At Gryffansnest Photography I specialize in children’s photography. I love to capture children as they really are. When I had my son we would go to studios and have his picture taken, like all new parents. While the pictures they captured were adorable, they never capture who he was. All the photos looked the same, whether he was pretending to be a chef or sitting on a pumpkin, they all had a fake smile and everyone who went to these studios would have the exact same picture. Imagine going into someone’s home and seeing your favorite picture setting on their wall with their children, it was awful. When my daughter was born I started to take pictures of my kids myself and I would have them blown up to display. These pictures really captured their personalities. Now I had pictures that no one else had and when I look at them now I can remember the way they were at that time. There is something special in the way my daughter would giggle at 18 months, or how my son would get while playing with his trains when I look at these pictures I am taken back right to those times. This is what I want to give to other people. I want you to look back at your children’s photographs and remember the giggle or the glint in their eyes.

My photography is un-staged, un-posed and real. I strive to capture your child’s qualities that will make you smile. You will not find fancy backdrops with me or cookie cutter poses. I will follow your child around and photograph them in a natural setting.
